Chest computed tomography findings of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pneumonia

Medical imaging techniques have a potentially important role to play in early diagnosis and managing the treatment of patients infected with SARS-CoV-2. Chest X-rays have a potentially useful role to play in revealing the presence of pathology affecting the lung. However, small lesions may not be detected and the greater resolving power of CT is likely to particularly important for early diagnosis of patients with a negative chest X-ray and high clinical suspicion of COVID-19. Thus, the aim of this study was to evaluate retrospectively the CT features in patients with COVID-19 pneumonia at our institution and to compare the CT findings during different periods of the disease.
