COVID-19-Related Disseminated Leukoencephalopathy (CRDL): A Retrospective Study of Findings on Brain MRI

Coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) is well-known for causing multifocal pneumonia. Growing literature demonstrates the effects of COVID-19 on the brain, including acute necrotizing encephalopathy infarcts micro hemorrhage acute disseminated encephalomyelitis, and leukoencephalopathy. We retrospectively reviewed brain MRI examinations in patients with COVID- 19 for findings suspicious for COVID-19-related disseminated leukoencephalopathy (CRDL).
