Imaging Findings in Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Children (MISC) Associated with COVID

MIS-C associated with COVID -19 is characterized by persistent fever and is frequently associated with abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea, rash, conjunctivitis and other mucocutaneous manifestations. Affected children may rapidly progress to hypotension and shock with cardiac and other end organ injury. As most children have serologic evidence of prior SARS-Cov-2 infection, MIS-C may represent an immune mediated, delayed host response to the virus.
